New Resampler! we have worked hard for the last 3 months to bring this to fruition. The resampler is called ARDFTSRC and has many advantages over SSRC, which is one of the best resamplers out there. ARDFTSRC is able to specify arbitrary sample rates to convert to, such as 123456Hz. New global options for resampler used (Control Center >> Adavanced), also options for Maximum Bandwidth and Minimum phase (less pre-ringing) options available. The DSP effect Resample allows selection of modes to override the global setting.

CD Ripper: we have restored freedb.dbpoweramp.com as a replacement for gnudb (which took-over from freedb.org), why? gnudb.org have started requiring emails to access their system. We do not agree with this type of intrusive data collection to access a publicly created database. It goes against the ethos of running a public database, especially as dBpoweramp users would have submitted a very significant percentage of all discs in that database.
Going forward we will create a new community populated metadata database, it will be branded as part of the AccurateRip family, and will be open to all. AccurateRip has existed without restrictions for almost 20 years, together we will create a high quality database. Watch this space...

Fixed various issues preventing dBpoweramp from working correctly on Mac OS Yosemite.
Added help button in window title bar.
Dynamic naming [encoder], [encoder+] and [k_bitrate] now consistently return information about the destination file.
Reordered encoder list for better readability.
Added 'edit tags' in Finder context menus for folders.
Updated dynamic naming dialog, added examples.
Tag fields set to "" (empty) are now removed.

CD Ripper

Fixed de-emphasis not being correctly activated on CDs with pre-emphasis.

Don't show nonsense in filename column with special encoders.

Batch Converter

Fixed 'last modified' date column not showing correct values.

Do not pre-select last used profile when started via Finder menu in a specific folder.

Bug Fixes

Fixed bugs with converter profiles, no longer crashes when trying to create a duplicate profile.

Finder menus cleaned up, no more separate entries for folder / file actions, should fix keyboard shortcut binding.
Naming [REPLACE] and [SPLIT] now use <comma_> rather than , to signify comma to replace or split on, this allows empty strings to be set for replace, to replace space with nothing: [replace] ,,[artist][]


Release 17.0


This new release features many enhancements, a new DSD encoder is included as standard (Reference), codecs are all updated to the latest releases. CD Ripper gains a manual metadata search page, de-emphasis CDs handling and improvements to metadata searching.

CD Ripper

Art menu redesigned, new Add Additional Art menu, default actions replace main art
Art added from files, if PNG then left as PNG. New option in Metadata options 'Store Scanned Art as PNG'
Default allowed maximum album art size is now 1000x1000 and 750KB

Naming added [SPLIT] for example artist was 'A1/A2/A3/A4' [split]/,[artist],2[] would return 'A2' to split on comma enter [split],[artist],2[]
Naming updated [REPLACE] can replace with , or search , buy setting a blank entry: [REPLACE],@,[artist][] would replace , with @
New conversion option: substitute Unicode spaces and remove leading or ending spaces in tags - there are various non-standard unicode space characters (such as thin space), these will be replaced with a standard space. Also white spaces at the start or end of tags are removed.
Added multi drive ripping capability - multiple CD Ripper windows are opened, one for each of your optical drives, so you can rip using any number of drives simultaneously without interruptions. Activate from the File menu.

"Display Information Log" option now sticks
When converting to one of the lossless formats with verify integrity option enabled, a notice about successful integrity check is added to the information log. Before, verification would only give feedback if an error was detected.
Information logs can be brought up by a menu command after completed conversion without "Display Information Log" checked.
Prevented character substitution rules from messing with source path when converting to the folder containing source files.
Now allows trailing dot and space characters in file & folder names.
